ISEC-01 was held in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA, January 24-27, 2001. In view of the pivotal role of structural and construction processes in the development and progress of global society, ISEC-01 spearheaded the movement to utilize all avenues and means available to achieve greater global efficiency and effectiveness in all sectors and facets of structural engineering and construction.

ISEC-02 System-based vision for strategic and creative design”

ISEC-02 was held in Rome, Italy, September 23-26, 2003. The main aim of the Conference was to define knowledge and technologies needed to design and develop project processes and produce high quality competitive, environmental, and consumer-friendly structures. This goal was clearly connected with the development of quality materials and promotion of the efficient use and reuse of materials, and reliable measurement and testing methods.
