The Municipality of Roma, in collaboration with "Vodafone Omnitel", has started as an experiment, "ROMA SMS": messages to mobiles in order to inform on traffic, recent events, services, culture to Roma. In order to receive the service one need to subscribe, choosing among four categories of arguments. Obviously, one can subscribe to one or more thematic fields.

The categories are:

• Recent Events
• Events
• Services for the Citizen
• Road Conditions

The messages are realized, daily by: Press office of the Cabinet of the Mayor, Press release Office, Operative station of the Municipal Police.
