Dear Colleagues and Friends,
On behalf of the ISEC Society and the American University of Beirut, we are very pleased to invite you to participate in the Second European and Mediterranean International Structural Engineering and Construction Conference (EURO-MED-SEC-2), in the beautiful and historic coastal city of Beirut, Lebanon July 23-28, 2018.
Having over 5,000 years of history, Beirut is the capital and largest city of Lebanon. Located at the east end of the Mediterranean Sea, at the crossroads of the ancient trade routes between Asia and Europe, the city is rich in significant archeological artifacts, from the Hellenistic period to the Ottoman dynasty. Collections of these artifacts are displayed at the National Museum of Beirut and also at the Archeological Museum of the American University of Beirut. Beirut also serves as the political, cultural, and financial hub of Lebanon. Influenced by French and Islamic cultures, Beirut is also famous for its art and fashion galleries.
The conference is built on the successful completion of the First European and Mediterranean International Structural Engineering and Construction Conference (EURO-MED-SEC-1) in 2016, in Istanbul. We are looking for significant and excellent contributions, from prominent and active, international scholars and researchers. All submitted manuscripts will go through a rigorous peer-review process and only those accepted will be published in the Conference Proceedings. Conference Proceedings shall be submitted for review by indexing agencies, including Scopus.
We look forward to seeing and meeting you in Beirut in 2018. The local organizing committee is planning outstanding programs which include cultural and technical tours in Beirut. The breathtaking surroundings of the city will make this event a memorable conference for all delegates and their guests.
