Dear Colleagues,

It is our pleasure to invite you to our 2024 Latin American Structural Engineering and Construction Conference (LATAM-SEC 2024) in Quito, Ecuador. The Conference will be hosted by Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador (PUCE). The LATAM conferences will be built on the framework of successful ISEC Society Conferences that were started in 2001. LATAM-SEC will serve as a platform for scholars in South, Central, and North America as well as those interested from the rest of the world to participate and exchange ideas, to present their current research efforts and results, and to learn of the outlook for future trends and priorities in all branches of civil, environmental, and architectural engineering.

Manuscripts following accepted abstracts will get double blind reviews from scholars in the field and will be published in the conference proceedings for those authors who will register for the conference. As with current ISEC Society Conferences that are all Scopus indexed, this Conference proceedings papers will also be submitted for review and indexing by Scopus.

The participants will have the opportunity to visit the cultural and historical sites of Quito and the surroundings. Quito is the Capital of Ecuador located in the Andean foothills and serves as the political, cultural, and historical center of Ecuador. UNESCO designated "Americas," a world-renowned historic center in Quito, as a world heritage site in 1978. The 16th and 17th century churches are another site for tourist attractions in Quito. The local organizing committee will have well diverse and attractive cultural tours specified for participants to enjoy the rich and warm culture of Ecuador.

The renowned Galápagos Islands, which are located in Ecuador, are easily reached from Quito by air.

We hope to see many of you in Quito for a successful and enjoyable conference in 2024.
