Dear Colleagues,

We are delighted to invite you to the 2026 Latin American Structural Engineering and Construction Conference (LATAM-SEC 2026), to be held in Quito, Ecuador. This prestigious event will be hosted by the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador (PUCE) and builds on the success of the inaugural LATAM-SEC conference in 2024.

The LATAM-SEC conferences provide an invaluable platform for scholars from South, Central, and North America, as well as participants from around the world, to come together and exchange ideas. Attendees will have the opportunity to present their latest research, share results, and gain insights into emerging trends and priorities across all branches of civil, environmental, and architectural engineering.

Manuscripts based on accepted abstracts will undergo a rigorous double-blind review process by scholars in the field. For authors who register for the conference, accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings. Following the tradition of articles published by ISEC Press, all articles will be indexed in Scopus.

Participants will have the opportunity to explore the cultural and historical treasures of Quito and its surroundings. As the capital of Ecuador, Quito is nestled in the Andean foothills and serves as the political, cultural, and historical heart of the country. Its historic center, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1978, is renowned for its well-preserved architecture, including 16th and 17th-century churches that are a major attraction for visitors.

The local organizing committee has planned a variety of engaging cultural tours, allowing participants to immerse themselves in Ecuador’s vibrant and welcoming culture. Additionally, the renowned Galápagos Islands, another gem of Ecuador, can be easily accessed via a short flight from Quito.
